Interface customization

Make the application your own tool: your name, your logo and your colors replace HocNota's, from the login screen all the way to emails. Configuration is under Organization → Customization (permission Customization — write, carried by the "Customization" profile; read access is enough to view it).

:::info Reserved for Big company accounts Customization is included in the Big company plan. It is enabled by the vendor, organization by organization. Without it, the tab stays visible but locked and invites you to contact the vendor. On an on-premise installation it is always available. :::

What you can customize

Identity

  • Product name — replaces "HocNota" in the browser tab, emails, the authenticator app (two-factor authentication), the annotations placed in documents and the Teams bot. Leave empty to keep "HocNota".

Logos

Three slots, each uploaded as soon as you pick the file:

SlotUsed for
Logo (light background)Application header and login screen. Required for the others to be used.
Logo (dark background)Optional. Without it, the light logo sits on a light badge in dark theme.
Square iconBrowser tab, mobile home screen, Teams application. Without it, an initial on your color is generated.

Accepted formats: PNG, JPEG, WebP, or SVG (converted to PNG in your browser before upload). 1 MB maximum. Animated images are rejected, and images are always re-encoded to PNG on the server (metadata is removed).

tip

For a crisp result, provide a logo at least 300 px wide with a transparent background.

Colors

Pick a single brand color. The light and dark themes are computed automatically:

  • your color is used as is for buttons and active elements;
  • the text placed on it (white or black) is chosen automatically to stay readable — a light color such as yellow gets dark text;
  • the color used as text (links, icons) is darkened in the light theme and lightened in the dark theme until it reaches a contrast of at least 4.5:1 (WCAG AA);
  • the Tint backgrounds and borders option gives the interface shades of your color instead of HocNota's bluish tones.

A light and dark preview is shown live, with the measured contrasts. If your color falls in the luminance band where neither white nor black text is readable, it is slightly adjusted and a warning says so.

Login page

  • a welcome message in French and English, replacing the default tagline (plain text, 600 characters maximum);
  • links shown at the bottom of the page: support, help, terms of use, privacy (https:// addresses only);
  • the support email address, shown on the login page.

On your organization's address, the root (your-org.…/) opens your login portal directly: HocNota's marketing page is no longer shown.

Emails

Emails sent to your users (welcome, password reset, analysis finished) take your name, color and logo, with:

  • the sender name: your product name;
  • the reply address: your support address (without it, emails stay "do not reply");
  • a free footer (company name, address — 300 characters maximum).

:::warning Application URL required Email links and the logo rely on the application's public URL (Admin → System → Configuration). For an organization created before this feature it may be empty: welcome and password-reset emails are then not sent, and branded emails have no logo or links. The Customization tab warns you in that case. :::

The sending address remains the platform's: sending from your own domain would require setting up SPF/DKIM for that domain.

Teams application

The Teams app package downloaded from Admin → Azure AD uses your name, accent color, icons and privacy / terms links; the bot introduces itself under your name. The file name is prefixed with your organization's identifier.

Save, preview, reset

  • Save applies the name, colors and texts immediately, without reloading the page. Logos are saved as soon as they are uploaded.
  • Restore the HocNota look erases all customization.
  • The tab shows the last change (date and author).

If your organization loses the option

If the option is removed (plan change), the HocNota look comes back immediately everywhere, even though your settings are kept: they are applied again if the option is re-enabled.

Good to know

  • Semantic colors (success, warning, error) and the node-type colors of the pipeline editor do not change: they carry meaning, not identity.
  • The product name also appears in a few interface texts (for example <your name> Jobs in the menu).
  • The online documentation remains HocNota's.
